Scoring Portal
How players use the trip portal on the course: getting in, scoring the group, signing cards, and reading standings.
Getting in
Portal link
Your organizer sends you a personal link. Open it on your phone:
- The portal checks the link and shows your name
- It stores a session on this device and opens the portal home
You do not need the link again on that device. The same link also works on another device until it expires. Links last 7 days by default (organizers can set up to 30), and an organizer can revoke a link. If yours stops working, ask for a new one.
Account sign-in
If you accepted an email invitation, sign in and open the trip from your list — no link needed.
Navigation
The menu (top-right) has Home, Rounds, Standings, Expenses, Photos and Settings. When a captains’ draft is live, a Draft page appears too.
Home
- My Round — today’s tee time, course and tee, your group, partners (and opponents in team play), the format and the strokes you get or give. This is the card to check on the first tee.
- Quick actions for scoring, standings, expenses and photos
- Today’s schedule with active rounds highlighted
- A standings preview, and the Ryder Cup score when the trip has team play
Starting a round
- Open Rounds and tap the round (active rounds are highlighted; each card shows the first tee time), or tap the round on the Schedule tab and press Start round on its round page
- If the round has more than one tee set, pick your tee — course handicaps follow the tee you choose
- The scorecard opens at the first unscored hole
If you do not see your round, the organizer may not have put you in a group yet.
The round page
Every round has its own page (tap it on the Schedule tab): course and tees, the format, pairings with tee times, and the round’s side games. Before the round it offers Start round when the setup is complete; during the round it opens the scorecard with Enter scores; after the round it leads with the Leaderboard. Standings and side games are one tap away in every state.
Scoring the group
One phone scores the whole group. You will see a row for every player in your group on the current hole.
Entering scores
- Tap the first score box and type. A single digit moves the cursor to the next player automatically; a two-digit score (10 to 15) moves on as soon as the second digit is typed.
- Use − and + to nudge a score.
- Tap X when a player picks up. The server records it as net double bogey (par + 2 + any strokes that player gets on the hole) and, in Stableford, zero points.
- Tap Save & Next Hole. Scores are saved for every player who changed, and the card moves to the next hole. You feel a short vibration when a hole saves (haptics can be turned off in Settings).
Moving between holes
Use the hole strip at the top or the ‹ › arrows beside the hole number to jump to any hole — for example to fix an earlier score. Scored holes are colour-coded on the strip.
Who can score whom
You can enter scores for players in your own group. Scoring another group is allowed only if the organizer turned on allow cross-group scoring for the round, or you are a trip admin. Otherwise the save is refused with “You can only enter scores for players in your group”.
Your full card
Tap View in the header to open the full scorecard for the group — every hole, front and back totals, and running score to par.
Point Game rounds
In a Point Game round the same page adds the captain’s score selection after each hole. See Point Game Scoring.
Leaving the card
Live scoring hides the tab bar so nothing gets in the way of the numbers. The back arrow at the top left of the card takes you to the round page, where the Home, Schedule, Score and Standings tabs are. While a round is live, every other portal page shows a green banner that brings you straight back to the card.
Signing cards
At the last hole the save button reads Save & Finish Round, then a Sign cards button appears.
- Agree the scores as a group
- Tap Sign cards
Every card in the group is signed and locked — no more edits from the portal. If a score is wrong after signing, tell the organizer; they can unlock the card from the dashboard, and you can fix it and sign again.
Offline
- Saves made without a connection are kept on the phone and retried automatically with increasing delays. The header shows N pending (or Syncing…) while anything is waiting.
- When a retry succeeds, the pending count drops. A save that can never succeed (the card is locked, for instance) is dropped with a message.
- If someone else already saved a newer score for that hole on another phone, your older queued entry is discarded and you see “Another scorer updated this hole; showing their entry”. Check the hole and re-enter if the group disagrees.
- Keep the score page open during the round. The portal caches the pages you have opened; it does not download the whole trip in advance.
Standings
Standings refreshes over a live channel as scores arrive, with a 30-second refresh as fallback.
| Board | Shows |
|---|---|
| Championship | Multi-round individual standings |
| Round | A single round |
| Ryder Cup | Team totals and every match’s status |
| Skins | Hole-by-hole winners, carryovers, value per skin |
| Nassau | Front 9, back 9, overall and presses |
| Point Game | Team to-par and scores used |
Positions show T for ties (T2, T5). Red is under par, blue is over, E is even. There are no movement arrows.
Side games
From Rounds → Games any player on the trip can create a Skins or Nassau game for the round and follow it live. Options: gross or net, value per skin or bet per nine, carry over ties, auto-press and its threshold, and team play for Nassau. Team skins is not available yet. Details in Skins & Nassau.
Expenses
Expenses lets you add a shared cost (with a receipt photo or PDF up to 10MB), see Your Balance, the Settlements an organizer has generated, My Payments (with copy and share), and any Trip Payments the organizer is collecting. See Trip Expense Tracking.

Tips
- Open the portal the day before to make sure your link works
- Turn on Outdoor Mode before a bright round
- Score every hole as you walk off the green; the pending count tells you if anything is still uploading
- Sign the cards on the 18th, not in the car park
