Managing Notifications
How to receive what your trip organizer sends, and what to expect.
What you can receive
| From your organizer | Where it arrives |
|---|---|
| Announcements (schedule changes, “first tee in 30 minutes”) | Push on your phone, email, and the dashboard bell if you have an account |
| Trip invitation with an RSVP link | |
| Daily recap of standings | Email (and the bell if you have an account) |
| Trip reminder before you travel | Email (and the bell if you have an account) |
Nothing is sent automatically when scores, leaderboards, skins, expenses or settlements change — check the portal’s Standings and Expenses pages for those.
Turning on push notifications
Push is set per device from the trip portal:
- Open the portal and tap Settings
- Under Notifications, turn on Push Notifications
- Tap Allow when your browser asks
Repeat on any other phone or tablet you use. Turn it off from the same toggle.
If the toggle is unavailable
- “Blocked - allow notifications in your browser settings” — you denied the prompt earlier. On iPhone: Settings → Safari (or the installed app) → Notifications. On Android Chrome: tap the lock icon in the address bar → Permissions → Notifications → Allow.
- “Not supported on this device” — on iPhone or iPad, add the portal to your Home Screen first (Share → Add to Home Screen), then open it from the icon and try again.
- “Not enabled on this server” — push has not been configured for the site. Tell your organizer.
The dashboard bell
If you accepted an invitation and have an account, announcements, recaps and reminders also appear under the bell icon in the dashboard. Click a notification to mark it read, or use Mark all as read.
Portal-only players (using a link, no account) get email and push only.
Not available yet
There are no per-type preferences, quiet hours or email digests. If you are getting too much email, ask your organizer to use push or in-app for routine updates.
