Self-Serve Handicap Updates
Accurate handicaps keep net scoring fair — and players keep theirs current themselves:
- Players: open the trip portal, go to Settings → My Handicap, enter your
current index, and hit Save. Takes about 10 seconds. Plus handicaps (better than
scratch) are entered with a
+, like+1.2. - Organizers: the trip’s Players tab shows a freshness badge next to each handicap — amber when it’s more than 90 days old, red when it was never set.
- One-click nudge: the Request handicap updates button on the Players tab sends every player an in-app, push, and email reminder with a direct link to their portal settings page.
This is the free interim until GHIN integration — players with a GHIN number will sync automatically once that lands.
Trip Admins (Co-Organizers)
Share the organizing load — or hand a whole trip to someone — without giving them access to everything else in your account:
- Promote a player: on the trip’s Players tab, open the ⋯ menu next to a player and choose Make Trip Admin. A purple Admin badge appears on their row. Choose Remove Trip Admin from the same menu to revoke it.
- What trip admins can do: edit the trip details, run the trip wizard, and manage the roster (add, edit, invite, and remove players — including promoting other trip admins) for that trip only.
- What they see: a trip admin who is a regular member of your organization sees only the trips they’re rostered on in their dashboard — other trips in your account stay invisible to them.
- Not yet on the platform? You can promote a player before they’ve accepted their invite. Admin rights kick in as soon as they create their account through the invite link.
The person who creates a trip is automatically its trip admin. Organization owners and admins can always manage every trip.
Regular players on the roster can view the trip from their dashboard and use the trip portal, but only trip admins and organization owners/admins can change trip details or the roster.
Inviting Players
Email invitations are for people who don’t have an account yet. If you invite an email that already belongs to a member of your organization — including your own — no email is sent: the invitation is recorded as Going and their account is linked to their roster spot immediately. Players whose invitation is accepted show as Going on the Players tab even before they’ve signed in.
