Solutions to common issues you may encounter.
Scoring Issues
Scores aren’t appearing on the leaderboard
Possible causes:
- Scores haven’t been submitted (only saved locally)
- Internet connection issue during submission
- Browser cache showing old data
Solutions:
- Ensure scores are submitted, not just entered
- Check internet connection and try submitting again
- Refresh the leaderboard page
- Clear browser cache if issue persists
Player can’t access scoring
Possible causes:
- Using wrong event link
- Not registered for the event
- Scoring not yet enabled
Solutions:
- Verify the player has the correct scoring link
- Check that the player is registered for the event
- Ensure live scoring is enabled in event settings
Wrong scores displayed
Solutions:
- Administrators can edit any score from the dashboard
- Go to Scoring > Edit Scores
- Make corrections and save
- Changes are logged in the audit trail
Registration Issues
Players can’t register
Possible causes:
- Registration is closed
- Event is at capacity
- Registration link is incorrect
Solutions:
- Check if registration deadline has passed
- Verify event isn’t full (check waitlist settings)
- Share the correct registration URL from your dashboard
Duplicate registrations
Solutions:
- Go to Players in your event dashboard
- Find and remove duplicate entries
- Contact the player to confirm correct registration
Account Issues
Can’t log in
Solutions:
- Click Forgot Password to reset your password
- Check that you’re using the correct email address
- Clear browser cookies and try again
- Contact support if issue persists
Not receiving emails
Solutions:
- Check your spam/junk folder
- Add our email domain to your safe senders list
- Verify your email address is correct in account settings
GPS Issues
GPS says “Permission denied”
Cause: You declined the location permission prompt or it was blocked.
Solutions:
iOS Safari:
- Go to Settings > Safari > Location
- Find the site and change to Allow
- Refresh the scoring page
Android Chrome:
- Tap the lock icon in the address bar
- Tap Permissions > Location
- Change to Allow
- Refresh the page
GPS says “Signal unavailable”
Possible causes:
- You’re indoors or under heavy tree cover
- Location services are disabled on your device
- GPS hasn’t had time to acquire satellites
Solutions:
- Move to an open area with clear sky view
- Wait 10-15 seconds for the GPS to lock
- Check that Location Services is enabled in device settings
- Restart your browser and try again
GPS shows inaccurate distances
Possible causes:
- GPS signal quality is poor
- Course coordinates may need calibration
- Wrong hole selected
Solutions:
- Verify you have the correct hole selected in the dropdown
- Check the accuracy indicator (green = good, yellow = fair, red = poor)
- Move to an area with clearer sky view
- Compare against course yardage markers
- Report consistently incorrect data to your tournament organizer
GPS says “No GPS data for this hole”
Cause: The course administrator hasn’t added GPS coordinates for this hole.
Solution: Contact your tournament organizer to request GPS data be added for this course.
GPS not showing at all
Possible causes:
- Feature not enabled for this event
- Course doesn’t have GPS data configured
- Browser doesn’t support GPS
Solutions:
- Check with your event organizer if GPS is available
- Ensure you’re using Safari (iOS) or Chrome (Android)
- Try refreshing the page
GPS uses too much battery
Normal behavior: GPS typically uses 10-15% battery over 18 holes.
Tips to reduce battery usage:
- Lower screen brightness
- Close other apps
- Disable WiFi if not needed
- Bring a portable charger for back-to-back rounds
